Alachia's Computer Room

Photosynth of Alachia's Office.

(probably not viewable by mac users so I added pics at the top)

I need more art and pictures to hang on my wall. I want to hang quick sketch a friend did for me of Eeyore back in high school but it brings back such bad memories that I probably won't. Sooo I need new drawings! The watermelon picture is a pastel Sadin did when he was like 8 or something. Kid art is so awesome.

I still need to frame my bumper stickers and Fatality signed mousepad.

But I do love my nook. I redid the furniture arrangement so the space would be more open. I hate feeling boxed in. Also, I like having my office laptop on the dock so when Flipmax comes over, he can just snap in his laptop and is ready to play.

If you're willing to share, I'd sure love to see pics of other people's work spaces and computer stations! That is, if you allow people into your lair!

Photosynth Guest Bedroom

New photosynth created with pics from my new Cannon G10 straight out of the box. I'm still learning how to use it.

(sorry mac users prolly can't view this)

Photosynth Launched!

I'm so excited!

Back in Episode 28, I talked about being able to hyperlink and compile consciousness and I used the Photosynth demo at TED to illustrate how I thought it might be possible. How it would be a matter of establishing minute data points regarding thought related to context together.

Long story short, Microsoft Photosynth is finally released to the public as of two days ago. (and yes, it comes with all the usual Microsoft bugs). However, it is AWESOME! I <3 it!!!! New app love of my life right now.

So far I've only been able to establish 90% synth at best. It's a matter of making sure you have proper overlap between pictures. Vacation pics will never be the same again!

Here is my first synth: My Kitchen/Dining Area

Hyper-linking consciousness:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mind_transfer
"Another theoretically possible method of mind uploading from organic to inorganic medium, related to the idea described above of replacing neurons one at a time while consciousness remained intact, would be a much less precise but much more feasible (in terms of technology currently known to be physically possible) process of "cyborging". Once a given person's brain is mapped, it is replaced piece-by-piece with computer devices which perform the exact same function as the regions preceding them, after which the patient is allowed to regain consciousness and validate that there has not been some radical upheaval within his own subjective experience of reality."
