WorldofPodCast: Public Test Realm Episode 1 (1.11)

World of Podcast hosted by Sam has put out it's first WorldofPodCast: Public Test Realm Episode 1 (1.11)

He did a superb job covering the upcoming patch.
Very informative, concise information, and the best of crude commentary!

WoW fan film - Eternal Legend (TW)

I really enjoyed the way they artistically composed the WoW images into anime compositions. Very cool.

Shaman Love

Thank you for the update info guys. I'm extermely happy to learn that Shamans, in fact, can NOT enter into indoor areas with Ghost Wolf form. YES! I can stop hating them and go back to disliking them. :D

Also a great email clarifying the difference between starfire and starshards.

see the emails below!

Hi Alachia,

Santo (Shaman on Hyjal), dont hate me.
Im a big fan of your Podcast and I just got done
hearing your interview with Sam on Wowcast Ep.15.
Just wanted to clarify that Shaman CANNOT use
Ghostwolf form indoors or anywhere considered "inside"
(like caves, etc.). They have never been able to.

Good work with the show, keep it up!

Hi Alachia,

I just wanted to send in a quick email about the Shaman Ghost Wolf. Sam
indicated that the Shaman can use this form anywhere. That is incorrect. It's
not useable indoors or in instances.

Don't hate the Shaman. We rock.

Love the show, keep it up

Hey Alachia,

Yeah, me again. I was re-listening (I’m a podcast addict) to episode 15. There has been some confusion in several podcasts about starshards and starfire. Starshards is an elf priest racial spell. It is a channeled 6 second DoT that maxes out at Rank 7 with 936 points of arcane damage over the channeling time. I’m not sure if it’s interruptible. Starfire is a druid spell which is the largest direct damage spell we get. At Rank 7 this spell does 496-584 points of arcane damage. It has a 3.5 second cast. Hope that helps the confusion a little.

Really a great podcast!
Nick

WoW Funeral gets ganked

IN complete conjunction with my last episode. Here is an example of the prevailing conflicts of the MMOR+G.

My first reaction to this video was ... well i'm human.. of course it kinda pissed me off. I'm a realist. People are mocking the idea of this funeral as a bunch of "loser nerds who don't know how to go to a RL funeral." However, the dynamic of this game is that there is quite a bit of validation in the relationships you form here regardless of wether or not any RL contact exists.

The action taken by the "asshole guild" warrants the digust you will feel towards them after watching this. However, on the flip side, the reality of HUMANITY is that it is not a beautiful and respectful entity. Just turn on your local news. Assholes do prevail in this world... so no, i am not suprised at all to see such behavior. I feel sorry for both sides of the story.
Because there is NO real line between the RL and MMOs anymore. It's far too hard these days to draw a line between the game and reality since both are co-dependant... Because you can look at it both ways.
1) It's just a game. This is hilarious.
2) Real people and emotions are involved. This is sad.

Also check out this blog and read the comments posted. I found it pretty interesting.

HOT or NOT?

I got the [Vestments of the Shifting Sands] during an AQ20 run last Tuesday.
HOLY CRAP. they are hella hella sexy. i had to put my guild tabard and lavender shirt in the bank for this!
And the really awesome thing about it is, people look at me and think what i'm wearing is a joke. And then they check the stats! http://www.thottbot.com/?i=52609

Repost of the Ahn'Qiraj Opening Images

Yeah. i finally updated the Gallery with the Ahn' Qiraj Gate opening screenshots.

And just a reminder, it was quite a sight for me because on a PVP server, i have never ever ever seen that many horde and alliance together without one or the other dead.

it was truly amazing....quite like the story actually.

enjoy! i might go back and add descriptions later.

The Whisps

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade

asros just messaged me this.
he says it's a April Fool's Joke.
but i think it's a great reminder that we have a whole other race to look forward too in upcoming months.

Episode 12 and 13

Good news. I am almost done editing Episode 13. I just need to do one more interview and then it's set. but the majority of the episode is ready to go.

I have been pretty proud of myself actually. I have given all my "free" nights from raiding to editing.

It's been slightly difficult because my main computer is just not getting back to a functional state. I recovered half of my podcasting data. So I had to redo a lot of my recordings of ambiant sounds, transition sounds..etc.

I have not recovered my e-mail yet. :(

I have Black Wing Layer tonight. But I have a plan to wake up early Saturday and do my best to make those Episode 12 modifications. I have decided to release epsiode 12 this Monday regardless of its status.

Episode 13 will be relased later that week as well. :D

Proud of me?
