Censorship Sucks

I am pissed. This is why my friends hate my podcast.

Censorship sucks.

But my friends are more important than freedom of expression.

Doesn't it seem hypocritical from a snitch who violates his/her work contract to begin with? I don't appreciate people threatening my friends. That is complete bullshit. I guess I'll just be a "pretend" WoW player. and we'll ignore how everyone really plays the game...

Apparently some GM has it out for me. I wish I could get this kind of attention when I have real problems with the game. If all you care about is banning people's accounts..that's fine. Destroy my love for the game.

Sorry for cryptics. I'm not playing WoW this weekend in protest. >(

Hey, for those of you that don't know, If Alachia doesn't mind me saying: Basically there was a post about a prank played on a guildmate and I imagine the guildmate got messaged by a GM and threatened to have his account banned or something... anyways, my condolences and keep up the awesome blog, I am a total loser for having it among my homepages?

This is why a GM is a GM is a GM.
Not the CEO of Blizz, not the lead game designer.
If Blizz was truly out to take down this blog, they would go directly to google.
This is retarted. They want to take down a blogger that has been WoW greatest supporter.
GG, Blizz GM... l2cthebigpicture.

Only thing I can think of when I see this is "powertrip"

So they somehow found your blog (how?) because someone pulled an ingame prank on you and therefore threatened to investigate your friends?

Am i the only one whos /confused?

Hope it works out, sounds shitty. WoW have no control over Blogs, it defeats the purpose - it's anyon's online diary which is made public. Read it, like it, hate it, adore it - who the fuck cares. Its a blog. It's got nothing to do with in-game politics i don't see their case... but then again im still /confused

oh. it's pretty simple. apparently, the GM contacted Starman and told him to tell me to remove my blog. Apparently, as a podcaster my site is listed as "highly visible" ...whatever the hell that means...

they threatened to put my friend's accounts under investigation for the prank they pulled because it involved something....blah blah blah...i can't mention anymore.

if they ban my account, that's fine with me...but you jeopordize my friends because you spy on my blog? because you're looking for a wrong doing mentioned OUTSIDE the game?

It's funny too..seems totally hypocritical.

Why weren't all of the accounts listed on EBAY put under investigation back when you could sell your character on ebay?? HALF of the people I meet in game say that they traded their account, sold their account...etc.. hell, I don't know but a handful of people on my server who don't account share.

Grand Marshall's? High Warlords? Your shitting me if you didn't put those people under investigation immediately...pre-2.0? Right? You really think all those people grinded that many hours by themselves.!??? hahahahahha..

cute.

anyhow..I'm just pissed off because I don't appreciate people threatening my friends. You want to see Alachia turn into mean, bad Alachia, you f-ck with my friends.

I didnt say this but please do NOT remove your blog!

I love it too much for it to go, and im sure if what i understand to be true is true then Blizzard probably still have someone regularly reading this but I don't care and im sure lots of your other fans don't.
I doubt it is possible to get a ban from reading a blog which they don't like it. And if it is, im sure if i get a new account my guildies will happily power level me back to where i was.
I doubt you will lose any listeners or fans from this, at least i hope not.

Keep at it Alachia, you have too many keen listeners to let this be spoilt.
I specfiically remember in your early WoW days stating that you liked Podcasts because it's not controlled, it's free to do what with what and that is how your blog has become.. Don't let them change that!

Not sure what is going on Alachia, but hang in there. I hope this blows over as I enjoy your shows and your blog postings.

I hit the nail on the head it looks like...

Schoolyard drama. Here's a helpful command to fix your problems with tattle tails. /gkick *insert name here* and /ignore. Crybabys who can't take a joke deserve that.

Maclort said...

Thats slightly excessive, but then again depends on the joke. We're all kinda throwing about wild conclusions while we're actually blind to all the info. I really hope Alachia tells all in next episode?
